Katy, could you do me a little bit of permanent makeup tomorrow?” …”Yesss Linsey my friend, that’s music to my ears.
The oh so beautiful Linsey has been fantastic a nurse for the NHS, taking care of others for many, many years.
Like so many nurses I train, they’re all just such lovely caring people. They all want a fun, lighter hearted, profitable business that can fit perfectly alongside nursing part time.
That’s exactly what Linsey has achieved since I trained her last year.
Linsey has spent many hours every week making others feel better at the hospital & look gorgeous in her home based clinic. However, it’s only just occurred to her that she also deserves that same level of care she so freely gives to others.
So she finally had her permanent eyeliner done, a massive treat for herself for all of her hard work.
I’m a believer that life’s greatest teacher is always experience.
Everybody has a life story and a personal narrative they tell themselves about what they deserve, some to be seen as a warning and others to be seen as an example.
She learned as she listened to hundreds of beautiful women tell her of their insecurities & how they don’t feel beautiful enough.
She just couldn’t believe they would ever dream of saying that to themselves and it resonated so much so that she decided that what she says to herself really matters, and that she was going to be much kinder to herself.
How much personal growth I have seen has been incredible. I could not be more happy. She’s levelled up so much, that she was almost unrecognisable.
This time last year she would never have even taken a selfie.. and here she is today posing with me, wearing an incredible dress and a genuine happy smile and looking absolutely amazing.
Brand New Life… She’s calling it in.
Whether she knows it or not, what she is putting out into the world is coming back. Always.
Lynsey is a theatre nurse, one of the loveliest ones that greets people from their sleep in recovery, takes care of them and brings them a cup of tea and a slice of toast when they need it the most.
She also stepped up and worked in intensive care all through the lockdowns and the pandemic taking care of the most critical covid patients, whilst her daughter moved in with grandparents.
That same nurturing attitude shone through in all of her permanent makeup work, and the clients felt very comfortable in her hands.
We continued working hard and donating 100% of our permanent makeup profits to unicef Ukraine.
I’m over the moon to say that our little drop in the ocean has provided emergency shelter for 22 individual Ukrainian families .
Thank you so much to Paul, Lynsey, Jo and all of our clients.
Like myself, Lynsey just loves to help people and definitely puts the needs of others before her own, but I explained to Lynsey that one of my biggest lessons (as an empath) in life is to also look after number one!
Give yourself that same nurturing, kindness and compassion as you extend to so many around you.
Creating a dream business ONLY happens when everyone (including yourself) gets to win.
In fact Lynsey, I’d go so far to say, it’s your number one job in life, to fill your own cup, to fill your own cup so full that it literally overflows.
And only from that overflow can you sustain serving others.
Otherwise you’ll soon reach burnout…. Natures way of saying you’re moving in the wrong direction.
Working in such an environment where it is all about the detail, no time rush with clients, put your therapist skills to use, make people feel more confident, as well as make people beautiful was such a welcome change from the overstretched NHS.
Something she’ll need to get used to.
It’s not easy being so empathetic, but if you learn this concept, you can make so many people happy.
And most importantly you get to experience that same level of joy, abundance and confidence for yourself in the process. If nothing changes, then nothing will change.
That’s how you create momentum that never runs out.
Lynsey you’re very special … you create very natural and classic permanent makeup, you’re very much a people person, you’ll be mentored by myself on the technical side and Paul will be helping you create a business over the next 2 years that is an exact reflection of your values.
💖🌈🔥👩🎓👩⚕️ Whilst some of us spend our lives wondering whether we really made enough of a difference, there are wonderfully humble and unassuming people like Lynsey who really don’t have to worry.
Lynsey was born to be a nurse and over the last 20 years has used her knowledge, skills and kindness to care for those who are unable to care for themselves.
She worked countless hours all through the pandemic whilst her little one had to temporarily live with grandparents.💖🌟👩⚕️
Like so many, the pandemic has given her a shake up and also the time to reassess life and all of her goals and ambitions.
Lynsey has always wanted to be a part of the beauty industry and to use her creativity to help make people look and feel better.
Lynsey’s super techi / entrepreneurial husband is 100% behind her new business. It was kind of his idea🧑💻👏💙.
Her permanent makeup clinic will begin to grow as she continues to nurse part time. To create a little more balance in life. 🌈🌟
Her goal is to build up to paramedical tattooing over the next few years, helping those suffering with cancer, burns and scarring.
I really enjoyed having Lynsey as Thursdays and Fridays star student and can’t wait for her live model training in March.
